Can Someone Help Me With VAFC Wiring With Vortech MAP Controller
I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for.
Here's what I have: Vortech SC with MAP controller (and timing box); Apex-i VAFC; Jaker wiring harness. Can someone explain to me how the MAP sensor lead is wired? I tried it like this:
MAP sensor>> Vortech MAP controller >> VAFC >> ECU
but I keep getting a CEL for engine misfire in all cylinders. The CEL only happens at high RPM (6500+) under high load conditions (80% according to the freeze data). The car dynos normal until about 5500 rpm's and then goes into "safe mode and a loss of almost 100hp (compared to where it should be, i.e. 300hp+)
I disconnected the VAFC and just ran the Vortech setup and the car runs awesome, so I know the issue is wiring PLEASE HELP ME!!! Should the VAFC be receiving the altered signal from the Vortech MAP controller, or does it need the "real" signal from the MAP sensor?
Pete (Yellow Streak): I am doing my tuning with Dan at Curry's. That's quite a list of dynos you have with them. Good stuff! Do you have any thoughts on my problem?
xviper: Have you run across this issue? I would love to get your input too If anyone else can help me too, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

My guess is that the "real" signal should be going to the votech box, then from there to the vafc for final tuning. But my guess is completely worthess because I have had no first hand experience with this

YS offered to help me with my issue , so I am going back to Curry's - hopefully before this Sunday's drive! This is great, I will get my car tuned properly and get to see Yellow Streak's track monster in person
spapdx, I will follow up on this thread once we get it fixed
to be continued...
xviper, thanks for the reply anyhow - much appreciated!
