the oil in the spark plub tube sounds to me like your spark plug tube seals are bad. for the stripped out threads i would either helicoil it or use washers on the bolt so it will tighten the coil pack down. it may be ghetto but it will work. helicoil would be better.

well i changed out the valve cover gasket and the 5 bolt gaskets today when i did my valve adjustment. I also lubed up the gaskets on the coils w/ silicone. I think the oil was just from the coils being loose. there's no oil in the tubes for the plugs. however, don't i need a drill press to do a helicoil properly? Trying to find an easy ghetto way to get it done. as long as it holds the coil down i'll be fine.

Why would loose coil packs cause oil on the plugs
