Default Can someone help me diagnose my plugs?

Dealership changed it at around 75k. it's now at 88k. I pulled the cover and immediately saw something that wasn't right. The bolts holding down coil packs 3 & 4 were completely loose and about to fall out. Now i know where the oil was coming from since the coil packs were loose. Also, when i pulled the plugs out, 3 has oil all over the electrodes. Let me know what you think. I'm about to put in 7173's for the turbo I just got and want to make sure my engine is in good shape. Thanks!

Steven

Did they work themselves a little loose and let oil reflux back? Plug #3 may have been the only one to stay torqued down properly. Did you notice any stumbling or hesitation when you drove?

plugs weren't loose. just the coil packs. car idled badly (it would dip down suddlenly and go back up over and over again until the fans come on). if nothing looks bad i'll just put in my new plugs

Aside from the oil on the plugs and some burned porcelain, the actual electrodes dun't look that bad

New plugs will make this motor run like a champ

Strange how one plug has pristine porcelain and the others have fairly uniform discoloration. I still have my stock plugs from when I changed mine (way ahead of schedule). My plugs have the same sort of discoloration on the porcelain, only to a slightly lesser extent and uniform across all four plugs.

What does cause this?

Mebbie the one that didn't burn was the one that was properly torqued down

so i figured out why number the coil pack was the most loose. the dealer freakin stripped the thread, so it'll never get tight now. I stripped a bolt myself trying to just torque it down to 9 lb/ft. it just keeps tightening and tightening and never gets tight. the car is so heavily modified they're probably not going to take responsibility for it. my question is, since it will still tighten to a certain extent, can I just use some thread lock on it?
