Default Can rear glass MY02+ be replaced w/o replacing top

Title says it all... Buddy's rear glass got broken, I always thought it could be replaced without replacing the whole top. But he said he went to some guy and the dude said everything got to be replaced. Is this ?

Thats correct, you have to get the whole top. On the plastic window models you can get just the window section.

The glass is made into the top. If someone was selling just the glass, you'll have a real treat trying to attach it to your existing top.

The plastic windows can be replaced, the glass ones can't.

No, the glass and plastic windows do not interchange. The entire convertible top, and the top frames are slightly different.

probably 8 hours or so to do, assuming you are handy with tools.

You may as well do the whole top as the top with window is probably only a little more than the window only. also, if you do just the window, your top won't match due to UV fading and dirt.

Have you tried Plexus? It's GREAT - easy to use, and it keeps the "fog" down tremendously.

Buy it online.

(If you already use it, and are still having trouble, then you probably do need a new window as you say).
