Can I drive my car with out the blower on it?? (but w/ the electronics)
I need to take my car to the dealer to get the clutch tsb done. They told me that they will do it but anytime spent messing w/ the supercharger they will have to charge me for. So I would rather just take the blower and aftercooler off, plug all the lines (coolant and oil) and take it into them. Now I am under the impression that the black box(es) only function when boost is present. Is this correct. Would I hurt anything by doin this?? Let me know!! Thanks!!

Unless they are replacing the whole clutch, I can't see that even being an issue or being in the way. I know, you just don't want the dealership personal to feel the wrath of the Vortech!! Phil

I wish that was it. But the tsb calls for a clutch disk swap. So im gunna have them swap it out w/ aftermarket and to do the swap they have to take off the tranny, and to take off the tranny they have to lower the motor (according to the book )

The blackbox advance the timing under boost and only above 6000 RPM. It is done by fooling the mapsensor input on the ECU when under boost. Also the Vortech FMU is adding fuel under boost.
I don't think that this is a problem but make sure to cover the oil-return fitting.

Ok cool
I was thinking I would just take the oil in fitting and put it in the oil return line and use a hose clamp or something. That way I would not have to block the oil feed fitting. I will just drive it very nicely on the way there and back
