Can I cut this piece of metal out
Hey guys, take a look at this picture.
This is MY00 and what is shown is the center consul (sp). Im wondering if I can cut out the metal shown by the red X.
I know this is possible to cut but do you think its safe for me and the car?

Well no for dope but yes i want to put stuff there.
Im thinking it will be ok. The only thing underthere is the E-brake cables ad some wiring.
I doubt that if i cut that and take a turn during autocross the car will fall apart.
if it did
id die!

you should be able to cut that no porblem. But it looks like it would be a pain to get at to hide stuff etc.
I might see if I can fit a point and shoot camera with flash under there to get a bigger picture of what your about to do though.

there is alot of people on here that still dont know about it but i see ur point. that wouldnt be a bad little place to put things, post some pics when ur done i might do the same thing if it works out for ya.
