can anybody verify whether this will actually pass emissions? obviously it eliminates the CEL, which takes care of that portion of emissions exams, but doesn't the ECM continuously check for live data from the pump on startup?
its a air pump simulator which tricks the ecu that there is a air pump but there really isnt.

what more needs explaining??

I understand how to construct the thing but I'd like to see where and how the wires connect. I'd like to see in detail, where they connect to exactly.

No benefit per say but a lot of folks choose not to replace it when goes out. It's an expensive part thats only there for emissions. I don't think boosted cars can run with one either, but I'm not positive on that.

For those that are not electronically inclined. GT Motoring is also selling an air pump delete kit pre-made for $97 shipped, that is what I bought https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=711974 still a lot cheaper then a new air pump.

Thanks for this information!

I'm preparing for FI so I suppose this needs to be done. I ordered the parts from RadioShack.com. Total shipped price came to $19.80. I guess you could save 6.05 by purchasing in-store, but I figured they wouldn't have everything in stock.

I'll work on this when my order comes in and post up results. Add this to the AP2 retainers and banjo bolts sitting in the garage...

I don't have an issue with doing it I just need to look at the cables that the wires you have to connect go to.
