Can anybody identify this sound? *video*
I have this creaking sound coming from my right rear wheel for about a month now. Does not effect anything to my knowledge, other than my nerves. Happens pretty much only when rolling backwards like shown in this video. It's the creaking sound after I start rolling, before that it's just the seat creak. I pulled the wheel off yesterday and all looked normal to me but who knows.

i'm not an expert by any means but i've driven cars with worn suspension bushings that made that exact sound...once replaced the sound went away. i have no idea why you are only hearing it in reverse though.

well it may not necessarily be just in reverse. of course i was rolling it in neutral there. the reason i say it happens when i roll backwards is i mainly hear it in the morning real well when in neutral and rolling backwards out of my driveway.
if it is suspension bushings, excuse my ignorance, but how many bushings are there to replace? i tried to do some quick searching but didn't really find anything on how many and what particular ones

If ya go to the UK forum there are write ups on bushing replacement. Can also go to powerflex web site, they sell everything except the caster bush and front lower compliance bush. There is a crude diagram.IIRC it is 22 bushes including the SB bushes.

from my experience i could only hear my worn bushings on my m3 and on my company car when i was going slow, as regular road and engine noise drowned it out at anything above 5 or 10 miles an hour.
as for how many there are per corner, i am new to the s2000 having only had mine for a few months, so i don't know. for my m3 you could buy a whole polyurathane kit off the net that would allow you to replace all the suspension bushings at once.
also, check your ball joints on the a arms that was another issue that i had that caused that sound. one of the two are probably worn out.
wish i could be help more, hopefully someone more knowledgable than me will chime in.
