camber settings on the front

Default camber settings on the front

Hi guys, would like to have some sharing on how change in camber setting on the front helped/hampered performance.

I increased my camber on the front from stock and found my car braking quite differently with a tendency to lock up earlier. I'm on stock suspension btw. Any thoughts on this?

What are your current Toe and Camber settings?

Toe is about the same as stock. front camber is -2 deg.

Generally speaking negative camber does adversely effect straight line braking. I too have -2 deg camber up front, as do many others here, but don't seem to see this as an issue. The handling did improve greatly which is what I was after mainly.

When you say lock up earlier, do you mean ABS is kicking in earlier?

hi, just to clarify some points...are u running stock tyres?

Think about what camber does... contact patch will be smaller (driving in a straight line) hence braking distances (straight line) will be increased.

thank you for your comment and before i posted this thread i definitely did know the effect that increasing camber will have on straight line braking in a general sense.

what i was hoping to gather was real world feedback on exactly how much change there was when camber was increased especially with stock suspension and stock tyres.

i get much more tyre squeal and enter ABS a bit earlier than i would have expected with such a change. Would like to know if anyone has had similar experience?

Obviously I have no way of knowing the knowledge level of anyone posting here. You seriously would not believe some questions that get asked. What pressures are you running? Have you tried reducing pressures? Might give you a 'tad' more grip up front. I think the stock AP2 setup starts out on the pushy (understeer) side of neutral. Going to a 225 or even a true 215 (the OEM's have a tread width nearer that of a 195) up front.
Everything in suspension setup is a trade off, so you need to decide what is most important to you.

I'm not on the stock RE050 tires, but am running 36/32 psi cold.
