Caliper rebuild - three greases?
The caliper rebuild kit has three types of greases:
-Red: "Cosmo rubber grease, location=dust cover of caliper"
-Orange: "location=pin moving portion"
-Clear: "Shin-etsu K6 62M"
The Service manual shows two types:
-Rubber grease
-Silicone grease (seal grease and pin grease)
Now... the diagram tells to apply grease to the following items:
-Piston seal: rubber grease (Red)
-Piston boot: silicone grease (clear?)
-Pins, pin boots: silicone grease (orange)
Do I have it right?

Almost, it should be:
-Pins: silicone grease (Orange)
-Piston seal, Piston boot: rubber grease (Red)
-Pin boots: silicone grease (Clear Shin Etsu)
Just a guess, but I think this is because the red rubber grease is more heat resistant than the Clear Shin Etsu. The piston boot and seal are exposed to much higher temperatures than the pin boots. It might be because the rubber of the piston seal and boot are a different composition than the pin boots.
The pin grease is different because that's a metal to metal issue.
Use up the rest of the clear (Shin Etsu) on the outside of your rubber brake lines, ball joint rubber, and steering boots.
