I reccomend leaving the stock intake and getting a new throttle body because you lose throttle response with a cold air intake because it takes a longer time for the air to go up a longer intake. So with a throttle body you gain power with out losing response.

The general consensus would agree that changing to a larger bore throttle body on an NA car has little to no real gains. FI would be a different story. I don't see how not changing the throttle body because of an intake change would affect how the throttle response is/would be.

can mere drops of water running off of your hood damage your engine? the guys at AEM said that unless i ran into a major puddle i wouldnt have a problem i have the V1 without a bypass valve and now im beginning to worry
and i understand that water and engines dont mix but how much does it take to blow her

well what about the injen cold air intake?? doesn't it come with a little plate thing that goes on the bottom side of the filter to somewhat prevent water to filter contact???
