Ca Emissions Monitors
Hi All,
So...my car's monitors aren't complete yet..still showing 4 incomplete. I tried the methods described on this forums but nothing worked. I tried resetting the ECU and going through the process again just incase there was an issue...but it still shows 4 being incomplete. Could this be a sign of a bigger issue?

the only thing you can do is drive it. if there is an issue the monitors will not reset and eventually a code will be set. but until then just keep driving it long HI way runs work. I believe you can pass with one monitor not ready

How many miles?
You need 2 drive cycles (a drive cycle is getting up to 3bars operating temp and cooling back down to 1bar)
Cruise at 50-60MPH for about a minute (I use 5th gear)
Cruise with a fixed thottle position (cruise control) for about a minute above 50mph. (I use 5th gear for this as well)
The Readiness monitors for the S2k (AP1 and I believe AP2V1) are:
Misfire
Fuel System
Comprehensive Component
Catalyst
Evaporative System
Secondary Air System
Oxygen Sensor
Oxygen Sensor Heater
the Not Supported params are:
Heated Catalyst
A/C Sys Refrigerant
EGR System
In California, you're not allowed to have any pending CEL's and all readiness indicators (as of May/2015) have to be ready.
If you have 4 readiness indicators on after driving the 2 trips (one city, one highway @ 50-60MPH), your sensors are probably not working. I drove 300 miles last week waiting for the O2 sensor to get ready and it never did. It was my fault for using a spark plug defouler + a faulty O2 sensor.

I just returned my car back to stock for a state ref test. Had the battery out for a week. Turned it on and drove the crap out of it for an hour. Never had any cels and no issues with readiness.
