My 2002 does the same thing. The air is really cold but goes "stale" when the compressor cycles off. It gets very cold again when the compressor cucles back on. The freon level checks out full. I talked to a service advisor at the local dealer. He said this is mormal for the car.

why dont you just have it checked out by an AC shop?
on another AC related topic (sorry to sidetrack your thread a bit)
has anyone noticed a kinda alcoholish smell come out of the ac vents periodicly? mine did it since new (05 model) i thought it might be some self cleaning thing but i never heard of that before....

oh i have a possible theory for your mysterous ac. maybe your temperature sensor thingy is off or brocken? thats if your gas pressure isnt low. do you run your ac atleast once a week?

Recently i've noticed a change in my air conditioning. When i have it set to cold and on at an notch (high or low) and the a/c button on, i get an influx of cold. For maybe a minute it will be refreshingly cold, and then the next minute it feels like its just blowing cool air. Could the freon need recharging? Is there a short with the a/c button somewhere?
I am curious as my A/C suddently stopped blowing cold air
