Question A/C Fan question, and weird leak under trunk!

I have a 2001, and I just installed some spal High performance fans. When I cut on my A/C only one fan comes on, is that normal? I have read that the driver side fan cuts on with A/C, and the right side cuts on when it gets to temp. Just wanted to confirm!

Another question is about some weird stuff I found underneath my trunk.

It feels like rubber and it kind of wet. My car has been sitting a couple of days and it has leaked on to my floor.

After doing some research, I think the black goo may be rubber gasket sealer, and my trunk is leaking causing this?

Both fans cut on when the AC is running.

Are you running the fans on stock wiring and relays?
Black goo might be from diff mounts so check those, they look dry from the picture though.

Figured out both issues, and the issue was me running the stock wiring. Went ahead and purchased Spals fan wiring kit, thanks!

Diff mounts have orange liquid just like the motor mounts.

Check and see if your trunk pan is filled with water, it might be rusted out. it's a common problem..

Thanks for the suggestions! Solved the issue a couple days, I have a walboro 450 fuel pump and it requires separate power wiring. Gas was seeping through the heatshrink on the wire that ran into the tank and coming out in my trunk and melting the coating turning it into a sticky oil substance. Good thing i stopped driving asoon as the problem arose, Lets just say I'm lucky to even have my car right now xD
