check under the hood and see if there is any signs of rubbing or burning. If there isn't any then you just got a hot engine with a low quailty hood.

Well the area above the engin sorta has like white circular marks. Ad the hood when i close it sits a tad bit ower then it should. Could that be the problem?

The white circular mark.... Is that section touching anything under? Like maybe the valve cover or any obstructive objects? I wouldn't worry too much about the hood but will be concerned where it's touching. Mine is rubbing against my valve cover and the paint is slowly rubbing away.

I don't think it is touchin anything, the hood closes easily and it dosn't seem like to me its touching, possibly its very close. Ill take a better look at it in the light tomarrow, thanks for your help. If it is touching is there like a heat sheild like on the OEM hood to put on? Thanks

if it's not touching then you are set. If you are putting some kind of shield due to rubbing then it's going to rub harder on to the shield. If it is touching, I would try to cut out the bones of the hood to make more clearance.

Ok this is the simple answer. Take the heatshield/fabric from your stock hood and reinstall it onto your VIS hood.

Another option would be to buy some sticky backed heat reflective sheeting or tape as this is wafer thin and weighs next to nothing. I think some companies do a ready made kit like the Dynamat sound damper try that it just goes on with a heat gun

You can get the stuff from any audio store or local car spares shop, you could also try www.dynamat.com to see if they have any dealers near to you???
