If your talking Craftsman, they are only accurate to plus or minus 4% at 20% or greater of capacity.

You don't want to use a 1/2" drive, 20-150 ft lb torque wrench on a 33 ft lb bolt.

Don't buy snap-on. Buy Craftsman and take the money you save to buy a decent quality rolling tool chest for your garage.

Not dissing snap-on, I marvel at the quality every time I use one, but it's not worth the $$$ when Craftsman is "good enough" and way, way cheaper.

Keep your old set. Often I've been stuck trying to get into a cramped spot with a socket and found only some weird combination of deep well sockets, extensions and ratchet from three different sets could get me in to turn the wrench.

So I bought the 155 piece set from Sears yesterday for $100. Used some of the tools to install my TP and the tools are awesome. Love them. Can't wait to buy a few more pieces to complete the set.

But get this...as I'm pulling all the pieces out of plastic bags and putting them into the plastic case organizer, I notice that I'm missing one socket size (got 2 of another size) and two of the sockets have *no* labeling. There's no brand or size on the things. I started thinking, "Wow, talk about crappy quality...sure don't make it like they used to." Plus, the screwdriver wouldn't hold its place in the case. Every time I opened the case, the screwdriver would fall out.

I called the Craftsman 800# this morning to explain my problem. I figured they would tell me to return my set at the store for a new one. Instead, the nice woman apologized profusely and is sending me a new bag of sockets to replace all my screwy ones and a new plastic case.
