Its not OEM, so...

Does/did it have an aftermarket alarm? If so, could be the kill switch for it!
Does/did it have any foglights etc?

I'll try setting off the alarm. I don't think it's that though.

No fogs, lights of any sort. It's so stock. However I am the second owner so it could be AnYtHiNg.

Easiest way is arm the car and unlock with the key or with window down, open the door with inside door handle. Alarm should go off. Then try and push the button. Almost all aftermarket alarms have a kill switch inside the car.

Wouldnt a kill switch defeat the purpose of having an alarm?

A little button with an alarm is a valet button. It allows the alarm to be put in valet mode, so the valet guy does not set off the alarm. It is not to kill the alarm.

It's a valet switch for your alarm system. If you turn your key onto the ON position and then hold on to that button for a few seconds, it will set your alarm to valet mode, when it's in valet mode, your alarm acts like a keyless entry system instead of an alarm system.

The best way is to follow the wires that are behind it. That is not stock.

It could be for an aftermarket passenger ejection system. Make sure you test it with the top down.
