i just bought a 00 S2K, with 2350 mi, i have put on about 1k, every now and then it seems that i smell my clutch burning, i dont ride the clutch but it makes me nervous....sometimes after i get on the car, it seems the clutch slips and then it gets really grabby, then i smell it...am i doing something wrong any ideas

Do you know the cars history?

If I remember correctly, the clutch pedal travel is adjustable, maybe it needs an adjustment.

Check to make sure the pedal, linkage and hydraulic system is free to move and with no kinks, etc.

welcome to the s2000, it often smells like that after fast driving, our clutches are not that good, but they do last ok.

thanks, i dont know much about the history of this car, i am learning allot each day....do you all have any other things that i my need to be aware of?

sounds like the previous owner liked to ride the clutch, that is why your clutch is now slipping. whenever it slips, the burning smell will come. time to get it change under warranty.
