Thumbs up Burning smell in the cabin/under the hood?

It's definitely not oil.. or tires, and I really have no idea what it could be. It's really feint when I'm driving (top up) and it slightly more noticeable when at a stop. I really don't even know what to compare it to, but it's dark out, so I can't really check and see what it is yet. It could be the clutch, but I doubt it. I never really sit on the clutch, and even if, I had let the car sit for about an hour, and just drove home, and I smelled it again. It was almost comparable to a clutch smell, but not really.

When I parked it earlier, I saw a very small amount of smoke come out from under the hood, but when I opened it, there was none to be found. I'm stumped. I'm going to check in the morning, but does anyone have any idea what I could POSSIBLY look for?

2000 s2k, 169xxx miles (I know, I know )

If any more info is needed, just ask.. I'd like to get this figured out. Or I could just take it somewhere

Sure enough it has to be some type of residual fluid that maybe you spilt?

Did you do an oil change, or add coolant/brake/steerign fluid recently?

I filled the reservoir tank up, it was empty, but radiator was full. Still smell it... It smells like burning plastic/rubber.

There's no more smoke coming from under the hood though, so I'm still not sure what it could be. Sigh.

I would def say a plastic bag!! I thought it might of been my clutch but i checked underneath the car (old car) and sure enough just at the bottom of the manifold was a plastic bag... took a while to burn it off though!!
