Have a leak down test done, it will show that the rings/cylinders are leaking.

Absolutely no part of this story makes any sense.

You went 1K and lost 2 qts - does the engine consistently lose 2 qts every 1K you drive it?

I'm not questioning the loss of oil - you observed it. All I'm saying is that if you havent tried putting another 1K on the motor to see if you lose the same amount of oil you may have just been low on oil to start?

It has to be very serious burning to see it.

2qt per 1k is a bad motor. If it's insurance claim get someone to inspect it. Pull out the plugs and get a camera down in there.

i know it doesnt make any sence..

i know the oil was topped off with royal purple 10w30 after the head was rebuilt cause i was there when they started it up after the head rebuild.

i really didnt notice smoke but when they picked the car up they drive it to the shop with someone following and said there wasnt any smoke..

idk how hard he pushed the car though cause i only really smell the oil burning when im getting onto the freeway or anytime i bring it to 9k in 1st-3rd gear.

i agree.

1) rear main seal bad = oil in bottom of trans bell housing and oil in driveway.
2) pebbles in the intake!? please explain how this would happen. if this did happen you would have seen it when the head was off. and you would also have caused damage to your cat. clogging or tearing at the material. not to mention the loss of power.
3) any CEL codes?
4) check timing, head installation, valve lash, and guides AGAIN. (preferably with a new mechanic)
5) If you are smelling burnt oil it could be spillage. or in fact you're engine is burning oil.
6) get it on the Dyno. it will tell you where your power is. see if its in the norm. remember a dyno is a tool, not just for performance tuning.

Not to make any assumptions, but i have a feeling that you are leaving something out.

and for the record.....an insurance guy is not a Honda mechanic. he would only have to get the recommendation from mechanic.

i took the s2000 out mudding..lol

who ever broke into the car also tossed rocks bark and dirt/sand down the intake manifold

progressive sent out a "specialist" to look at it and after taking to him hes set on it being the rear main seal. if thats the problem i dont understand why i dont have a drop of oil at work where the car is parked for atleast 10 hrs a day mon-fri or at the house and never had a single problem with the clutch slipping.

leak down test came back fine and no cels

would the rear main seal also explain the valves almost clunking during start up?

Just trying to help smart ass! Dont worry its ok . well who ever you pissed off....im sure you deserved it then. sorry that s2k didnt have a better owner.

this whole thing is because you ran into a muddy ditch full of water trying to drift right? no one would just say "hey lets go phuck up that s2000. yeah lets put sand and pebbles and crap in the intake manifold. great idea!'' you drove your car into a ditch and trying to get insurance to cover your dumbass. that would explain the bumper and fender damage. You probably cut the top open yourself after you realized you effed up to make it look like vandals!! ha ha...you aint fooling me or the insurance agency. thats why you are having a hard time with them. they dont believe it either.

so someone opened your car to open your hood, pulled out they're tool kit, removed the intake hose, pulled the throttle body open and put crap all down in there. .......then put it all back together without ANYONE KNOWING?!?!?! or seeing? you didnt know!?!?

Good luck buddy.........
