Default Burned the clutch and now feels different

I have lightly burned the clutch before in my 2000 Celica but yesterday I burned the S2000's clutch when I was pulling into a narrow driveway. This morning my clutch feels different. I would depress the pedal and the first 3 inches are like air. There is no resistant. There was resistance the day before about 1 in down. Now when my clutch is fully depressed, it takes a bout 3 inches up to fully let it out like when I'm done shifting.

I searched and replacing the clutch is expensive. The car is at 147k and the clutch was replaced around 125k. I searched about adjusting the clutch. Would this help? Has anyone else burnt their clutch and experienced this? If so, what are the solutions?

Currently all my gears engage but with this engagement point its extremely uncomfortable. Please help. Thank you

Could be the master cylinder leaking as well. Try pumping the clutch a few times and see if the resistance comes back

Yea I hear you on the clutch issue you got lot of life out of that stock clutch I just changed mine at 86 thousand. So def the cheapest thing to do is to get the air out of the clutch line if there is any just bleed the clutch. Also check the fluid in the clutch resvovior. Then if that fails gonna have to get into the clutch from under the car... Good luck man

Yes, a master cylinder could be bad. But its cheaper than the clutch. I did see fluid where the adjustment is on the firewall above the clutch pedal but I also couldn't find any on the floor.I'm also not sure if that amount of fluid is normally hanging on the end of the firewall either. I will check the reservoir. I'm just hoping its an easy fix and that I can get it back to the way it was at little cost and labor.

Thank you guys.

Any fluid on the firewall indicates a problem. You have a leak my brother.

Gravity bleed and replace the fluid. After driving about 10 miles in traffic, you will see the difference. Your clutch will feel brand new and not to mention, smoother shifting. You might have to bleed it more than once.

^ oh so bleed only? no need to replace the master cylinder just yet. I topped off the cylinder already is its somewhat noticeably better but I will do the bleed method tomorrow. But nonetheless, I plan to replace the master and slave cylinders this week if bleeding doesn't help.
