Default burnd clutch need help over rev....

well about 3 weeks ago i over rev my engine from 3rd to 2nd ...

had it check no bend valves and broken retainers...

my question is my car does not pull hard as it used to be...

i used to get a hard pull around 4-7500k now it doesnt seem to pull harder ...

do you guys think clutch is burned .....

btw when i shift from 3rd to 2nd it was full released on the clutch but it did not move much ... im not sure if i burned it or my slave cylinder got something to do with this .....

recently i remove the delay valve slave cylinder.. it still runs the same...

any input on this....

thanks...

How did you have it checked? Take it to Honda and have them remove the valve cover? Compression test?

Pages of advice were given, and you said the car had no problems. Did you have a proper mechanic check the valves, retainers?

Here's a quote:
i was at 7000 or 7500 i shift right after vtec..... shift accidently to 2nd
It was decided in the thread that you didnt have any problems, but that you should still get a ton of things checked out.

Are you positive this isn't just some random, isolated event? One-time heat soak, bad fuel, badly calibrated butt-dyno?

If you really over-revved it, then most likely your problems are in the valve train and as brimstone noted those questions have been answered in your previous thread.

You didn't burn your clutch because of one over-rev. Are you sure you got the clutch delay valve mod right? It's easy enough at first glance, but some have had trouble it.

Here's an interesting thread on the delay valve. It's long, but there are some good lessons on troubleshooting and cause/effect issues.

sorry guys.. i didnt explain much ...

anyways after removing the delay valve yes i felt the difference.. but its around 6500-8000 rpm.... when shifting fast to another gear...

yes i had it check with one of the s2k members ... hes a mechanic... at honda dealers... yes he check everything open it up and nothings wrong...

oh to answer the question yes i think i did pretty well on removing the delay valve... its really easy to take out .... if everythings followed as what billmans250 then it should be as easy as 1hr install... i test the mod the next day rev it high switch to 2nd right after 1st gear and i flew like crazy... yes its a nice feeling...

the reason for the mod was after over rev from 3rd to 2nd my car seems to run slow .... but im not sure if its just me cause i over rev it... or its really the car...

Hmm. Okay, it's just you. Your right foot isn't as heavy as it used to be.

No, you're right. You're left foot isn't heavy enough either.
