Building my soon to be Ap2

I think Im going to start with header/exhaust/intake put in a racing seat/hanress (i already have a few) a roll bar and some good coilovers. Maybe moton. for autox whats the best rim/tire size for the s2000? 16/17? Ill race it for a while and then decide on stroking the engine or just putting on a small trim turbo.

Although I'll be interested to see how ENDYN does on Carrera's head. Carrera, I hope the changes they make help your motor...I'll admit that I'm skeptical that increasing flow by that much will make as large a difference as you're estimating, simply because I don't think there is that much usable volume left in the combustion chamber without increasing displacement. But I admit I haven't done the calculations to prove this to myself, so it's speculation on my part.

At this moment I trust what ENDYN is saying which computes to about 260 WHP or more from this setup. Time will tell.

Also the best tire size/width depends on your coilover setup, as well as other suspension components you may have modified. Most stick with something around the stock AP2 sizes. But i dont see a reason why you cant go a little wider, with a proper wheel choice.

If you go with a 225 in the front, I would suggest a 245 in the back because the balance will be better.
If you are getting new rims either shoot for 235 F / 255 B or a non-stagger setup 255 all around.

so a low boost s2000 would do fairly well on autox/timeattack?

260whp mark will be difficult to obtain without some kind of forced induction. I also hope carrera gets some decent gains from his Edyn set up, but I doubt him getting anything over 10-15hp if he's lucky. Usually 25-30hp is seen from head and manifold upgrades of that nature on turbo cars. My hopes are high thought for his success. Although I agree it would be more beneficial to him if he also went with a stroker motor.
Your best bet to hit 260whp is going stroker. 2.5L by inline has proven to be reliable both on the street and for track use. I'd stick with a low 12.0.1 comp ratio. Gives you good tuning abilities with pump gas, and a bit more bump over the lower comp ratios closer to stock. A good header(probably J's, unless you can actually get a hytech one), a ram air intake set-up, full 70mm exhaust system, or a custom 3" system. Hondata IMG, throttle body, and a good flywheel/clutch combo to free up more whp.
To be honest you may exceed your desires hp range. I know there is a member with a similar set-up(with a more restricting exhaust system) that is already over the 260whp mark. This is without any manifold work...so you can imagine the possibilities if someone released a manifold that made power
