Broken Bracket and more..

I talked with a guy at Comptech about what could be causing the problem with broken brackets and he claimed that minor deviations from the proper installation method like tightening a bolt before it is supposed to be tightened can cause vibrations the SC was not designed to withstand. The result is all to familiar. SO, since I'm no mechanic, Comptech is offering to work with one over the phone to ensure my unit is properly installed (so to speak!) when they ship the new parts. I'm skeptical about that theory though, hearing about silversurfer's car. I know Comptech has had their hands all over that SC.
Silversurfer, I swear I noticed the same unusually nonvibrant shifter lately. What a great tattletail! I hope I'll be heads-up enough to notice any future problems should I be unlucky enough to encounter any.
