Default Breaking in Lawn Mower

Just bought a new Briggs and Stratton 5.5Hp motor for a mini-bike, how should I got about breakin it in? Can I go ahead and dump synthetic in it? I also have MTF, let me know what you think would be best. Thanks

Use conventional for break-in, then switch to synthetic if you want. Most lawn mower's break in period is X number of hours. Did your engine come with any documentation?
