Breaking in gears
Ok im getting a new set of gears installed and i was just wondering what kind of oil to use while breaking them in? I shouldnt use a synthetic oil right? Right now i use 75w90 Amsoil SVG. What do you guys recommend for the break in period. Thanks.
oh and what material are the gears and pinions made out of? i want to heat treat them and the place wants to know the type of material

i'd say if you do the lucas mixture put the lucas in first before installing the differential 'cause it's thick/sticky as hell and it's a pita to squeeze it in. the regular differential fluid is water next to the lucas...
