tunnig feee was very expensive I have to pay the plane ticket $350 and 2 days of tuning.

Sean is really good he know what is doing.

255 hp at the crank is not a very good number, a stock one made 235 hp on the same dyno. I hope the noise is the timming chain.

I sent an email to inline to see what they think. I will try to record a clip

Jaun, I thought you said the stock number is 214hp at 9krpm
255hp at 7.5krpm is very good, that would be around 306hp at 9krpm

the torque number is beautiful too
this reminds me of a local custom 7L GM motor.

How does the car feels? How is the low rev and midrange torque?
what other engine mods have you got on the car?

I had.

Toda Header
75 mm throtlle body
Amuse Exhasut Dual (Sold)
AEM EMS
4.56 final gear

214 was my car with 10.000 km, but friends cars has got 245 with a VAFC
I will scan the dyno graph

THe car feels very strong, plenty of power even in 6th gear. 4.56 is to short for this engine with a rpm limit of 7500, I am going to swap it for a 4.44 or stock. Becasue the noise I did not compare my car agaist other S2000.

this is the message That I got form Inline pro:

It sounds like engine damage has occured. What likely
happened is you were running lean on the street with the
stock injectors and when you put it on the dyno it
stressed out the engine. If you run it lean it heats up
the pistons too much and they expand and come in contact
with the cylinder walls. That is why we told you to run
the 575cc's on the break-in. If you pull the cylinder
head off and see scuffing on the side of the cylinder
walls that's what it is. Don't drive the car any more
because debris from the piston skirts can get into the oil
and damage the bearings.

You are either going to have to ship the engine back to us
so we can fix it or if you have some one there to fix it
we are going to have to ship you some new pistons and
bearings.
Unfortunately this does not fall under warranty because
you didn't follow our instructions on break-in.

I think I'm going to be ill.

I'm so sorry to hear this Juan. That said, engine damage is the worst possible outcome. There are other possibilities to be exhausted first. Best of luck.

I am so sorry to hear the bad new Juan.
I hope they are incorrect with their guess that the noise is from pistons slap. It is possible but not the only cause of this noise. You should check valve clearance, timing chain tensioner and belt tensioner pulley before you pull the head off.

Even if it is piston slap, blaming you and denying your warranty at this stage is not fair. How many 2.5 L engines are there? How many have pistons slap or this sort of noise?

Good luck with everything.

I'm sorrry to read this post and i hate to say this but unfortunetly, Inline and even I told you not to break in on stock injectors there are reasons to why this was suggested. After hearing your problem with the AEM FPR it confirmed why the guys at inline WILL NOT use one as they just arent trustworthy. I am really hoping that the motor is unharmed and the noise is something easier to fix.I know it sounds like i am being unsensitive but my first motor blew up on the dyno first time round due to not breaking it in, the second and current one i run now was broken in on 440cc injectors W/obdI clips then we switched to 475cc (i think) then to 575cc. once on the dyno we changed injectors multiple times we must have made over 15 passes that day. I recomend you drain your oil adn look for coolant to make sure no major damage has been done also i would pick up some of the blue point combustion chamber leak tester which will tell you if their is exhaust gas in the coolant. A few other good things to get is a leakdown tester and a boroscope (next thing im getting).

best of luck,
-Matt

White we did only 4 dyno pases, we could not pass of 255 hp and 264 NM. After this we done a compresion test and was ok.

Before going to the dyno car was runnig great, with a perfect A/F ratio. When I installed a 550 cc and stock ECU I got a CEL in less than a minute with the Stock injectors and AEM FPR I got a CEL the thrisd day when the engine was almost break in.

I made the 90% of the break in kms in a empty highway at 3 a.m. without passing 4000 rpm. Made 2 oil changes during this process then the car was tuned with a AEM EMS and by reputable tuner, kept the rev limt in 7.500 rpm, inline told me that 8.000 rpm was ok, and they still thinking that I was careless????
