Engine, I think most brands of synthetic are fine. I like OEM for the transmission and Amsoil 75w110 for the diff.

A question about oil, what could go wrong?
But to try and answer without much controversy, use quality synthetic stuff.
A lot of people like Amsoil. For diff, gearbox, engine. Their website tells you what weight to use, based on year, make, model, which is nice.
For engine oil, some have issues using Mobil 1 in these engines, with excessive oil consumption, which went away once switching brands. Others use it and have no issues.
I recommend a 0w-30 synthetic. Do your research for the brand.
The manual recommends 5w-30, but there wasn't the selection there is now when that research by Honda was performed. I believe if they did that research today, they would recommend 0w-30.

An annual engine oil change is prescribed by Honda if you don't meet the mileage criteria. Combustion by products contaminate engine oil. I'd be buying dino oil at Walmart if I was changing every 1,000 miles. Gearbox and differentials are sealed so service by the book.
Many of us have favorite brands just like we do with fuel. Many insist their choices are the ONLY acceptable choices -- other guys think those choices are retarded!
Full synthetics give many of us warm fuzzy feelings. Same for Amsoil products (those are retarded, of course).
Stick to spec unless your car is somehow special. 10W-30 is spec for engine oil in US cars.
Note that hydraulics and coolant are on a time schedule. Every few years. Check your manual.

Typical of the shelf engine oils range from Rotella T6, Mobile 1, Valvoline, and Pennzoil Platinum; transmission Honda's manual transmission fluid; and diff Mobile 1 75-140. All, except the Honda stuff, can be purchased from Walmart which is virtually everywhere.
