Brakes dragging after installing new front pads and rotors

Upon rereading the relevant chapter in the manual, I'm pretty sure I found my problem - I did not ensure the divot on the piston face fits on the tab of the inner pad, I just screwed the piston in far enough for it to fit.
After my look at the manual it says the round one goes on top for the rear caliper but for the front caliper the round pin goes on the bottom

19-15 is the front caliper
19-25 is the rear
