Brakes dragging after installing new front pads and rotors

Service manual to the rescue! I believe its showing the round pin goes on top.
Upon rereading the relevant chapter in the manual, I'm pretty sure I found my problem - I did not ensure the divot on the piston face fits on the tab of the inner pad, I just screwed the piston in far enough for it to fit.
