Default Brake Rotor Screws

Trying to get my rotors off and found out the rotor srews were stripped. I purchased an easy out kit, but my drill is a off the shelf POS and will take me hours to drill to use the easy out bit.

Question:

Is there an easier way to remove the screw or is there a way to bypass the screws altogether to remove the rotor?

An impact screwdriver may still work depending on the stripped-ness of the screws. Soak 'em in PB Blaster and tap them out. Otherwise, you are going to have to drill.

Problem solved. 88.98 for a concrete drill and drill bit.

Do the screws have to be in there or are they over rated

I've heard mixed reviews on this. Some have said they are there so work on the brakes is easier when the wheels off. I dunno, would like to hear from others also.

If you want 100% security leave them on. They certainly make it next to impossible to remove the rotor while they are in.

Take them out and go to a track day with a any of the lugs not property tightened an kiss your ass goodbye.
