Brakes are made to be "slammed" on. That's what they're there for. If you blow a seal "slamming" on the brakes while doing a fluid change, it was going to blow anyway. Better to blow it doing a fluid change than to do it while you are trying to stop for that kid who runs out into the street chasing his ball.
With all the respect please re-read what i said.

you are not suppose to slam on the brake while you doing a brake job, it's said in my ASE manual. when you let go bleeder screw, juice came out and if you nuke the pedal while the juice is low, the seal can blew out.

It assumed that anyone who does a brake or clutch fluid bleed will maintain the fluid level in the reservoir while doing the job. This is pretty much brake fluid change fundamentals.

1st rule of bleeding any hydraulic system (clutch or brakes) is never let the reservoir run dry.

get the vacuum pump and do the vacuum bleed.
the easiest one-person job!

I've tried this method. It sucks too much air from between the bleed screw threads. You can't tell if the air is actually coming out of the brake line or what. I don't use the vacuum bleed method anymore on an S2000.

if you apply the gel-type sealer or anti-seize around the bleeder screw and the hose, it will solve the problem.

A brake bleed should not involve removing the bleed screw and putting some kind of sealer just so you can use a 50 buck vacuum bleeder. The far better way to do a one person brake bleed is to use a pressure bleeder.

Motive Universal Power Bleeder is the tool for one person brake bleed/flush. It can be used to bleed the clutch too.

Hell I just inverted a fluid bottle into the master cylinder and let gravity take over. The fluid is not expensive so I let 1 bottle drain through each wheel. Not fast but easy!
