00-03 pads are fantastic, almost no dust and excellent braking for the street (get track pads for the track).

On the rust, I just painted my calipers and rotors with 1200 degree black barbeque paint. Easy to do and looks stealthy, got rid of the nasty rust.

I use CLR to clean the rust off the rotor vents/hub and then I spray on a rust inhibitor called Boeshield that leaves a waterproof coating down the vents, rotor edges, and hub area.
For the rims I give them a coat of Zaino since they are clearcoated and the dust cleans off effortlessly.
