Well, you didn't read it the first time, but the main reason for both is that I carry my tools to the track in the car and the pressure bleeder would take up too much room in the car. It's great for at home, but in a pinch (read: at the track) needing nothing more than a wrench is nice too.

I prefer bleeding the "old fashioned way" with the help of an assistant. This allows me to monitor the fluid coming out of the system. It costs about $1-2 in clear tubing and a recycled mayonaise jar. Just provide your assistant with a nice gift, or help them with something important to them and it's all good.
