Well i have a 2002 honda s2000.. Im going to do a bottem end rebuild to it.. I just have a few questions.. It is a turboed car.. I want to build it up for about 400 MAYBE 450whp... Here is where the questions come in..
1. Since i am NOT going to sleeve the block would it be worth it to go get some brand new OEM pistons and rods since we have forged internals? Or is it ok to still use my current rods and pistons still.. I have heard that our stock internals are really good, but how much WHP are they good for??
I know that i need to get new rings and bearings already..
Also what about head studs?
Im going to go with a inline pro 3mm head gasket for the lowering of my compression.
Sorry if this quesiton has been asked im just wondering since im going to be doing this within the next few days..
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated thank you very much

If your doing a bottom end rebuild, what are you really accomplishing if your not going to sleeve the block? If you car runs fine right now, I would leave it until your going to sleeve it. Also if you sleeve the block you have to use different pistons at least. (same the other way around, cannot use stock sleeves with aftermarket pistons since they have that special coating.) People have ran very high HP numbers on our stock blocks, so I wouldnt worry to much. Sooner or later you should still sleeve the block if your pushing high numbers just for added safety. I hope you have some high octane fuel to run in your car also if your going to lower the compression. I think your suppost to run minimum 93 octane with lower compression. Here I only have 91 so I wouldnt do that. I hope this helps some!

Here's the best info one can give you:
BUILD IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME![wink.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Translation: Dont compromise. Sleeve that block, get quality parts and replace as many used/high mileage internals as possible. Thank me later.

^^What he said
But there are people pushing 600+ on stock blocks. So 400-450 should be no problem. Also if you are having to replace the ring i would check the cylinder wall for wear. How many miles on the car? How many miles since it was turbo'd?
