Personally my friend that is the parts guy at honda says Amsoil>PCX>everything else

I think that is arguable. This PCX filter was made for the s2000 and the s2000 only.

People can talk about more material, etc. but all that can have an impact on the flow rates. I think that this high-flow filter was made by Honda just for the s2000 says something. What are you trying to achieve? Worried about particulates floating around because the OEM filter isn't good enough? It's like worrying about nothing.
The OEM filter isn't magic. It's made just like every other filter with its specs. Changing to a comparable filter isn't going to do anything adverse.
