Bolt recalls and other issues....

You are being flamed for stating "... in the over 2500 recorded engine failures" as if it were fact. What would you expect from such a baseless statement? This number is probably off by 10X.

So, just exactly *where* were these 2500 failures recorded, hmm?

I'm sure glad I don't live in southeast Michigan with my S2000. I grew up in Monroe. I got out in '79. Driving an import, let alone the S2000, around the Motor City, in the summer time, is asking for trouble. In the winter time, with the salt and the most f<cked up roads this side of Burma, is nuts.
Motown = All American Muscle Cars (AAMC).
I would think that just about all the young AAMC drivers you meet at stop lights, own3n you.
It's unfortunate, but the S wasn't built for flat Motown roads.
In Motown, AAMC are the ONLY way to go. With all the troubles you have had, I'd dump the S and get something that was built to handle 350+lbs of torque .
Good Luck.
oh ya, I think 2,500 engine failures, is a bad estimate .

I would not be surprised if the failure rate is well higher than most engines, even in the high performance category.
