you sounds like a owner of a bad body shop.

there's always the short cut/cheap out way but again, you have to look at the bigger picture, if you value the car enough to get it fix, i think you should have fix it right.

metal needs to be pulled out, any monkey with two arms could puddy the area with fiber resin and bondo but they are not meant to be used like that. Fiberglass and resin could cracks too, nothing replace the struture support and strength of the mild steel body. The rear quarter could very well be double layered/folded for regidity.
