Blown headgasket took out heater core

^ I have not bled thru that cap/opening. Never had to in the past. I may do it just for kicks.

These coolant buckets are the easiest way to bleed the system. Top it up with coolant, put your heater to max hot and just let the car idle until the lower rad hose gets hot.

I always make sure coolant overflows from the bleeder on the fire wall. Once I do that I notice I never have to add that last 300 ml of coolant the next day.

I ended up opening both bleeders with the nose of the car in the air. I also purchased those radiator funnels to burp it out (and bubbles did come out). Air is warmer, but still does not burn my hand.

Deep down inside I'm suspecting my thermostat; however the temps are holding fine at 180F.
