thanks for posting the video bro! i've been searching to see what it could be since my car had just started doing the same earlier this week. i've been taking it slow to work until i will finally have the time to check it out this weekend. hopefully it'll be any easy fix and not anything major. i'll chime back in with the results, thanks again!

So it wasn't the axle. I ended up replacing the drivers side one. I'm going to check the propeller shaft after searching the forums. I'm hoping that will be the problem so i don't have to drop the diff and open it up.
Does anyone know if you can just take the diff cover off and inspect it without dropping the whole thing down?

There is no dif cover. The entire dif needs to be pulled.
If you have a twisted boot, the CV joint inside is broke.
If you DONT have a twisted boot, your axles are fine. Axles can be checked by eye by simply looking for a twisted boot.
I wouldnt pull the diff until you are sure.
Drain the dif fluid. Look at the magnet. That will tell the whole story in an instant.

Thanks for the clarification. The boots aren't twisted. I just checked.
I noticed that there is play were the propeller shaft meets with the transmission. I am trying to look at my friends s2k to see if that is normal. I'm thinking the bearings in the propeller shaft might be bad.
If it's just the propeller shaft that is an easy fix. Do the output trans shafts on our cars go bad often?

Update:
My friend came over and looked at everything. The only thing he noticed was the rear upper ball joint was bad. So i will be replacing that control arm this weekend.

I'm hearing the same noise the OP posted in the video posted. I took the right CV joint off and had a new bearing and hub pressed in the knuckle I removed. The bearing did have some play so I suspected it was the bearing making the noise, but after I remove the left CV joint (I had a replacement thinking it was the CV) I rotated the flange of the diff and noticed it didn't rotate smoothly.
So now, I'm contemplating on putting the new CV joint, bearing and hub in..so what was the fix to the noise in the video? Hopefully not the diff.
I hear that noise driving low speeds up to about 60mph. After 60mph, it quiets down. It seems to be coming from the right side.
