Default Blowing smoke when pulling away from lights

Hi,

So my F20C has just hit 200,000km and i recently replaced my 02 sensors and CAT. Car was feeling good again but now I've noticed that i'm blowing a bit of smoke when i pull away from a set of lights. I don't think it happens all the time but mainly when the car is is on its first drive after being stationary for a while (a week or so). The smoke continues for the remainder of that journey but seems to disappear on the next.
It looks like i'm burning oil. Most likely unrelated to the CAT and sensors but i'm thinking where do i go from here?

I guessing first step would be to do a compression test?
Anything else i should be checking?

Thanks

Might be as easy as switching your brand of engine oil, I have eliminated the stoplight puff by pure luck I guess. My F20 was randomly puffing a small cloud a couple years ago with only 100,000kms and I switched to Pennzoil Platinum and have had good results, no issues since. Any different brand of oil may help you with the issue though? Good luck.

I would do a compression test to start.

more likely valve seals leaking in that situation, but if you are running a high flow cat or test pipe that can be quite normal. It could also be a buildup of moisture in the exhaust system if it seems to happen after a longer period of vehicle storage.

color of smoke?

rate of oil consumption?

coolant level?
