Yes, but clearly he was going faster than that. No reason to shift into fourth unless he was running out of third gear, which happens around 90 (assuming a stock 2002 S2000).

i was at 3 rd and hit red line since road was hella crowded , i had to be quick and i had to pass that car , i went to 2nd lane and tried to shift to 4th , instead of 4 i misshift and put the gear to 2nd , thats all

Cracked intake retainers

Bent exhaust valves

Little headwork and you'll likely be fine.

Actually, that's not really very important. 12000 RPM is 200 revs per second. Even if you get your foot back on the clutch almost immediately, the damage is done.
