let me ask you a question...i don't want to re-read the thread for info.

who has inspected your head and what was the extent of the damage.

as of now, we don't even know what the damage is yet to the head because i don't even think the head has been removed.

Can you ask your mechanic this question "which head shop will he be using to repair the head?"

keeping in line with our speculation, i wouldn't pay more than $1,500 max.

Take this piece of advice, no matter what:

Make sure it runs good, and smooth, and quiet, and there is no check engine light, before you pay the bill.

Make sure the heat in the car is nice and hot when the dash shows three bars. An s2k can go up to FIFTEEN MILES with air in the cooling system, then suddenly overheat. Hot heat means you can drive safely. Then put the AC on if you like

Recheck the level in the RADIATOR once or twice more in the morning when cold.

yes , just to rebuilt this engine is 6K
if i get everything brand new from honda 8K
if i get used engine arround 3.5K
