The recall did not involve all '02s, just VINs ...0001 to ...6983.

If a plug broke, I can almost guarantee it was improperly installed. Or it was damaged before it was installed.

There is NO WAY revving the hell out of the car can do this.

i checked my vin #

it's JHMAP1 ... 2T8000**

so i suppose i'm fine then? cuz the recall stated 2T000001 - 6983

but im nearing 49,000 km's (30,000 miles basically), when do spark plugs typically need changing?

improperly installed, meaning torqued too much or too little right?

there shouldn't be any other way to mess up a spark plug install is there? just making sure since i do my own spark plugs...

Mine's an 01 just to be safe a new set of plugs are on there way. No need to replace the motor when itonly has 8K on the clock.

60,000 should be where iridium should be changed under hard driving.

i'm screwed. I'm like 5800 or something and I don't know if the previous owner has changed the plugs or not.

Well i know Honda care is a bitch, my roommates car had an improperly installed timing chain and Honda wouldn't pay for the new engine when it let loose. Good Luck
