Sounds like a defective pressure plate. Centrifugal force may be engaging the PP.
I was never a fan of any CC products as they have beeen nothing but problems on my end.

Act is a nice choice. However....there are a small amount of users, who are also fi, that have developed crankwalk. I can't see the link between the act pp, fi, and crankwalk. I have had my OLD STYLE act pp (stronger than current ones) for 100k miles and I run the car wide open, a lot.
I think driver inputs to the car can be the link. If any pressure is put on the crank under boost, the thrust bearing will suffer. Not sure how fast the boost pressure can release, but does not seen fast enough.

I remember hearing some things about ACT actually now that you bring that up. Not necessarily about that but..
I might try to talk to CC clutches since there is only 3,xxx miles on the pressure plate. Maybe they can do something. I'm also still wondering if this clutch problem has happened to anyone else?
Thank you.

I think it's possible that you have a bad pressure plate. It could have been a bad build or a weak defective or wrong spring/s. Bad parts do occur with all mfg.'s including OEM from time to time.
