Thumbs up Bleeding my clutch

I'm about to do a delay valve-ectomy on my '04.

My question is can do the gravity bleed on the clutch the same as I did my brakes?
Or do I gotta do the old pump, hold, And crack the nipple (which I never can seem to get to work right)?

I had a very difficult time getting all the air out after the CDV-ectomy. It took a mighty vac sucking for awhile to do the trick. Maybe you can bleed via gravity, but you'll have to be very very patient.

Might try the mighty vac to pull the majority of the air out.
Last time I used it on my brakes it never seemed like I got all the air out. Could be that it was sucking air in from around the fitting.

I gravity bleed my brakes and that worked exelent, but then again I was just flushing out the old stuff so there was no ( or little ) air in the system to begin with.

Billman's trick is to hold the slave bleed valve upwards (is that a word?) while bleeding and the air will come out quickly. I haven't tried it that way, but I will next time.

i prefer the old pump, hold and crack procedure. i've done a couple cdv deletes for some local members and they haven't had any issues with air in the system.

Pump and hold works fine. Just do it a few extra times with fluid in the line. I recommend a clear flush tube so you can see bubbles.
