Default Bleeding the clutch. What fluid to use?

Im going to change my clutch fluid soon, and I was just wondering what fluid everyone is using in theirs.

I know it has to be dot3 or dot4 brake fluid, but im wondering if any brand is better than the next.

What would you guys recamend? I figured I would go to Pep Boys and see if Mobil 1 made any, if not check HTG.com out.

Pretty much most owners manuals will say that. Their cant be any harm in swapping brands though, If anything what I buy will probably be better. Im not wasting my time taking my car to Acura though. For under 20$ and an hour of my time I can bleed the cluth myself and learn something

You can use any DOT rated brake fluid as long as it's the same rating as OEM. I can't remember if it's 3 or 4. Just check the OEM grade from your owners manual in the back and then you can subsititute.

No real need to though. Just go to the dealer and buy a bottle of the OEM grade brake fluid for $5 and do the bleed yourself.

That's what I do.

You can use any DOT3 (or DOT4) brake fluid. But the Honda fluid is as good as any and fairly cheap. I run high temp fluid in my brakes because they get hot out on the track, but I run the Honda brake fluid in the clutch because there is no reason not to.

Honda brake fluid
It takes very little and there is no need for the high temp brake stuff.

The good brake fluid tends to absorb water faster than dot 3 too. For the clutch I'd use DOT3.

Don't forget to use genuine Honda air for your tires.

By "good" I hope you mean "DOT4" or "higher temp." If so, then

I haven't seen mobil 1 brake fluid, but you don't need it. ANY DOT3 fluid is more than up to the task.

Valvoline makes a good DOT3

I've had good results using Valvoline SynPower in my brakes and clutch.
