Bleed brake fluid during brake pad install

Bleed brake fluid during brake pad install
Is it necessary to bleed the brake fluid out of the release valve when changing the brake pads?
(I was planning on swapping to new pads, and probably have a shop flush out the brake fluid a week later).

Neccessary? no.. but helpful. It makes it easier to compress the brake piston by having the bleeder valve open. Otherwise the fluid will pump through the master cylinder, and if your fluid level is full, it will overflow the reservoir.

In addition, if you compress the pistons back with the bleeder open, it will expell additional grime and particals that would not come out under normal bleeding.
