How is this accurate when the oil filter filters out the elements?

great numbers all around, this is a good match for your engine, hard to think of how you could do any better than this. Iron, copper, aluminum, cromium, and lead are very low. Nice low wearing engine and the viscosity of oil is good. I'd keep tesitng to make sure the sodium concern doesn't persist as that can be an indicator of engine coolant.

this test measures metal particles that are much smaller than the filtering capabilities of an oil filter, basically soluable particles. Larger particles are caught by the filter.

I don't understand your question.

If the filter removed the elements from the oil then they wouldn't show up in the UOA. They can't detect what isn't there. Note that the unit of measure is parts per million.

Seems pretty straightforward. Were you actually asking something else?

I don't appear to be loosing coolant. So we'll see.

This is the second Mobil1 UOA posted here lately that shows they (M1) can actually create an oil that stay's in grade.

What oil did you use before?
(to explain the sodium)
