5k for honda mtf? I've read earlier post that say 10k is the right amount
7k notchiness for me on reformulated.

Thanks for all of the input. I posted the thread, and then completely forgot about it. My big question was if I could run the Amsoil engine oil longer than 5,000 miles. As are probably aware it gets rather expensive to change the oil every 5000 with Amsoil and $9 a quart.

I have about 500 miles on a 50/50 mixture of amsoil/honda MTF and it's great!! I had just honda MTF before and now the shifting is alot smoother, even when cold it's less notchy then when i just changed with straight Honda MTF. Once it's warm, it's just icing on the cake. The only thing is to see how long it lasts. i'll chime back in after another 4500 and 9500 miles.
