Thumbs down Black smoke, rough idle and misfiring

my2003 AEM EMS, k&N fipk and stg2 skunk cams and valvetrain and Skunk TB.

Car had problems with idle and it's smoking deep black on acceleration.

I Undid the tb and cleaned it. replaced a bad map sensor with a new OEM. (old one was cracked).
This fixed the idle problem (shakes and almost died at stops)

Replaced the spark plugs with ngk laser iridiums. gapped .44 (old one were pitch black)
Installed a new TB gasket and CLEANED the IACV.

The car accelerate and decelerate ok. When driving at steady speed it misfires (or back fires) I can't really tell.

Also If I hold steady at whatever rpm it will misfire. The car is smoking pitch black. Water and oil are in excellent levels.
No alterations have been done to the AEM settings. The car ran excellent a month ago.

No codes since I have the AEM ( The car had already these bolt ons when I bought it.)

I can heat a loud hiss in the cabin, still don't know if it's the fipk or a vacuum leak.

Need some info..
1)How the hell I check CELs with AEM? need detailed instructions
2)Do I need to reset the ecu after map sensor replacement? (7.5 fuse operation)even with AEM?
3)could it be a vaccum leak issue? what vac lines should I look for (any diagram)
4)will an obd2 scanner read codes if AEM is installed?

It's my first car with aem, so I'm, kinda how I should perform repair workflow

*edit map was also ziptied and contacts were cleaned with electronic cleaner (radio shack spray (the one without lubricant)

sounds like to me its all in the tune. i would take the car in to a place that is familiar with aem and just let them look at the tune to make sure everything checks out.

Did you buy the car like this or did it just start doing it after an install of something? I would say it does sound like it could be tune related or lack there of.

again i really think it has somthing to do with the aem unit. either it got reset, fried, or some how got thrown out of whack.

I believe a Fried or non working ecu would lead to a more sever problem or maybe a non running engine.

I'm thinking that the previous owner got the car tuned with a defective map. After the map died completely I might have a tune not compatible with a brand new full operational Map sensor.

Looking around there some answer to my own questions.

1)How the hell I check CELs with AEM? need detailed instructions
No, AEM doesn't have that ability, it doesn't show CELs coz it has no self diagnose module. So basically I need to check each parameter (in logs) and see if I see anormalities
2)Do I need to reset the ecu after map sensor replacement? (7.5 fuse operation)even with AEM?
Technically no, coz there's no code (cel) to reset
3)could it be a vaccum leak issue? what vac lines should I look for (any diagram)
Still an option to be revised with air filter off( it noisy as hell even at idle)
4)will an obd2 scanner read codes if AEM is installed?
I believe Not. and Obd2 'pull' codes from the ecu, aem stores none, so that's what scanner pulls... nothing. (Am I right?)

I'm almost giving up and drive it (as crappy as it is) to the mech.
